It is multi-purpose: The same stand can be used for various straight wind instruments namely the Piccolo, the Flute, the Eb Clarinet, the Bb Clarinet and the Oboe*.
*An adaptor is required for these models

By using this accessory, the stand can still be used for the Eb clarinet, although in this case the mouth would not reach to the feet.
It is not necessary to remove the adapter in order to set up or fold away the stand.
